SIGNIFICANT FEATURES:... A plume of the Saharan Air Layer (SAL) and a Low-Level Jet (LLJ) Stream are impacting Jamaica.

Comment... The SAL is expected to cause a sustained reduction in visibility and ambient air quality across Jamaica. Concurrently, LLJ Stream will continue to generate strong, gusty winds, especially across southern parts of the island in the afternoon, with these conditions persisting through mid-week.
