SIGNIFICANT FEATURES:... A Trough and a Low-Level Jet Stream are across the central and western Caribbean. Additionally, a Tropical Wave is currently located just west of Jamaica.
Inshore North Coast: Conditions: Cloudy with afternoon thunderstorms. Red Alert: Scattered afternoon thunderstorms with strong winds and large waves. Winds: Strong easterlies until sunset, then light. Waves: 2.0 – 2.5 metres (day); 1.0 metre (after sunset).
Inshore South Coast and Pedro Bank: Conditions: Cloudy with scattered afternoon thunderstorms up to sunset. Red Alert: Thunderstorms with strong winds and large waves up to sunset. Winds: Strong easterlies until sunset, then moderate. Waves: 2.5 metres (day); 1.5 metres (after sunset).
Morant Bank: Isolated thunderstorms up to sunset (Amber Alert). Waves: 1.5 - 2.0 metres.

A Ridge is expected to build on Wednesday, bringing more stable weather conditions across all zones. Moderate to strong easterlies of up to 25 knots in inshore and offshore southern zones are also expected to persist due to the influence of the Low-Level Jet Stream.
