*** BONNIE WEAKENS TO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION***
At 4:00 pm, the centre of Tropical Depression Bonnie was located near latitude 26.2 degrees north, 81.8 degrees west. Bonnie is moving toward the west-northwest at 30 km/h. This motion is expected to continue, with a decrease in forward speed over the next two days. Bonnie is expected to move over the eastern Gulf of Mexico tonight and Saturday then reach the northern Gulf Coast on Sunday.
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 55 km/h with higher gusts. Bonnie could regain Tropical Storm strength as it moves over the Gulf of Mexico.
This system is not a threat to Jamaica
The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
