A Tropical wave, currently east of Jamaica, is expected to move across the Island today. Satellite imagery indicates showers and thunderstorms currently over eastern parishes.


Widespread showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, along with gusty winds, are also expected as the Tropical Wave moves across Jamaica later today.


Fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise caution as strong, gusty winds are likely in showers and thunderstorms over inshore and offshore areas.



The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
