*** FLASH FLOOD WATCH DISCONTINUED ***

The Meteorological Service has lifted the Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood-prone areas of eastern and central parishes with immediate effect.

The Low Pressure system, which has been producing showers and thunderstorms across Jamaica, has move toward the east away from the island. This has resulted in a significant reduction in showers across the island.

Whereas, the trough will remain across the central Caribbean, Jamaica is only expected to experience isolated showers and thunderstorm across sections of central and western parishes.

The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation
