39.1 degrees north longitude 45.7 degrees west. Chantal is moving toward the east
near 28 km/h. Chantal is forecast to slow down and turn southward through the weekend.

Maximum sustained winds are near 55 km/h with higher gusts.
Weakening is expected, and Chantal is forecast to degenerate into a remnant low by
Friday.


Tropical Storm Chantal is not a threat to Jamaica.
