A Trough across Jamaica and the central Caribbean is expected to remain across the region until Sunday. The Trough is expected to influence weather conditions across the island this afternoon into evening.

Projections are for periods of moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms, to affect most parishes, with the most intense activity occurring over central and western parishes.


Fishers and other marine operators, especially over inshore areas of the south coast are urged to exercise caution as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.
