A Trough across Jamaica and the central Caribbean is expected remain across the region until Tuesday. The Trough is expected to influence weather conditions across the island this afternoon into evening.

Projections are for periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, to affect sections of all parishes today.


Fishers and other marine operators are urged to exercise caution as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.


The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor this system.
