*** FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL PARISHES ***

The Meteorological Service has:

Continued the Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood prone areas of all parishes.

Effective until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow.

A broad area of Low Pressure across the western Caribbean continues to produce unstable weather conditions across the island. Satellite imageries and rainfall reports indicated that light to moderate and occasionally heavy showers and thunderstorms affected sections of most parishes today.

The forecast is for this area of Low Pressure to further develop as it continue to drift towards the northwest over the next few days. Expect mostly cloudy conditions, with periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times to affect the island through to Saturday.

Fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise caution, especially over southern waters, due to rough seas and gusty winds in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH means that flash flooding is possible and residents are advised to take precautionary measures, keep informed by listening to further releases from the Meteorological Service and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a Warning is issued.

The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
