Another Tropical Wave now moving into the central Caribbean is expected to influence the weather across Jamaica, to produce increased rainfall late Saturday into Sunday.


Expect periods of showers and thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon, which may be heavy at times, across sections of most parishes.


Following the passage of the Tropical Wave across the island on Sunday, both inshore and offshore areas of the south coast are likely to experience an increase in windy conditions with wind speeds averaging 25 knots with higher gusts. Marine interests are therefore being advised to exercise caution.


The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
