*** CENTER OF ALBERTO MOVING ACROSS WESTERN KENTUCKY... ...HEAVY RAINFALL THREAT CONTINUES…***

At 4:00 a.m. the centre of Tropical Depression Alberto was located near Latitude 37.2 degrees north and Longitude 87.9 degrees west or about 90km south-southwest of Evansville, Indiana.

Tropical Depression Alberto is moving toward the north near 25 km/h and this motion is expected to become more north-northeasterly with some further acceleration today and tomorrow as it moves up the Wabash River Valley and through the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.

Maximum sustained winds have increased near 55 km/h with higher gusts. Minimal change in strength is expected on Wednesday. Some slight weakening is possible on Thursday.


Tropical Depression Alberto is not a threat to Jamaica.
