*** FLASH FLOOD WATCH DISCONTINUED FOR WESTERN PARISHES ***

The Meteorological Service has:

Discontinued the Flash Flood Watch for low lying and flood prone areas of Westmoreland, Hanover, St. James, Trelawny and St. Elizabeth.

Effective immediately.

Satellite imagery and recorded rainfall reports indicated a decrease in showers across western parishes last night throughout this morning.

However, the Trough system across the western Caribbean continues to produce unstable weather conditions west of the island and projections are for light to moderate showers and isolated thundershowers especially during the afternoon to affect sections of western parishes today and Thursday.

The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
