*** FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR WESTERN PARISHES***

The Meteorological Service has issued:
A Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood-prone areas of Westmoreland, Hanover St. James, Trelawny and St. Elizabeth.
Effective until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow.
A Trough system across the western Caribbean continues to produce unstable weather conditions west of the island.
Although the forecast is for generally partly cloudy and windy conditions across eastern and central parishes, light to moderate and at times heavy showers and isolated thundershowers are still likely across western sections of the island on Tuesday. Flash flooding is therefore a possibility over low-lying and flood-prone areas of the western parishes.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH means that flash flooding is possible and residents are advised to take precautionary measures, keep informed by listening to further releases from the Meteorological Service and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a Warning is issued.

The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
