A Cold Front currently across the Gulf of Mexico is producing showers and thunderstorms across that area while moving toward the southeast.

This system is expected to enter the western Caribbean tomorrow and linger in the vicinity of Jamaica throughout the weekend.

Atmospheric conditions are therefore expected to again become unstable across Jamaica starting tomorrow afternoon.

As a result, expect periods of showers which may be heavy at times with possible thunderstorms mainly across northern parishes this weekend.


The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
