*** FLASH FLOOD WATCH DISCONTINUED FOR NORTHERN PARISHES ***
The Meteorological Service has:
• Discontinued the Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood-prone areas of Hanover, St. James, Trelawny, St. Ann, St. Mary, and Portland.
• Effective immediately.
• While a Trough remains over the central Caribbean and Jamaica, satellite imagery and radar reports indicated that most of the activity associated with the Trough has now moved east of the island.
• The forecast is for widely scattered to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to develop across mainly northern parishes this afternoon. Shower activity is expected to further decrease as a High Pressure Ridge builds across Jamaica tomorrow.
The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
