***FLASH FLOOD WATCH DISCONTINUED FOR CENTRAL AND EASTERN PARISHES ***

The Meteorological Service has:
• Discontinued the Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood-prone areas of St. Ann, St. Mary, Portland, St. Thomas, Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Clarendon and Manchester.

• Effective immediately.

• While a persistent Trough remains over the western Caribbean and Jamaica. Satellite imageries and Radar reports indicated a decrease in showery activity today and the weather situation is expected to return to normal conditions as a High Pressure Ridge builds across the Jamaica area.

• The forecast is for isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop across hilly areas of central and western parishes during the afternoons Tuesday through Thursday.


The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
