*** RARE APRIL TROPICAL STORM FORMS IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC... ...STILL EXPECTED TO DISSIPATE ON FRIDAY***

At 4:00 p.m. the centre of Tropical Storm Arlene was located near Latitude 37.7 degrees north and Longitude 42.0 degrees west or about 1315 km west of the Azores.

Arlene is moving toward the west-northwest near 41 km/h (25 mph) and this general motion is expected to continue until dissipation on Friday.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 75 km/h (45 mph) with higher gusts. Arlene is forecast to become absorbed by a large extratropical low and dissipate on Friday

Tropical Storm Arlene is not a threat to Jamaica.
