A Trough currently east of Jamaica, is expected to linger in the vicinity of the island through the next three days. The Trough, along with other atmospheric conditions, are expected to produce unstable weather conditions across Jamaica this weekend.

Expect periods of moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms, to continue mainly across northern parishes during the afternoons, with an increase in rainfall activity starting on Friday.

The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
